Rio Rimac Basin in Peru
In collaboration with Peru's meteorological and hydrological agency (SENAMHI), HRC implemented and calibrated a model suite to estimate and forecast soil moisture, real-time subcatchment storage and channel flow forecasts, and long-term ensemble streamflow prediction (3-4 months). The Rio Rimac basin was selected as a pilot. It is expected that the models and analyses will be extended by SENAMHI to other basins in Peru.
